We have used this for years and this latest build works very well on ND6 _and_ includes some reasonably good anti-spam stuff.
My advice
- use native Notes/Domino functionality as much as possible for anti spam (DNSBLs and other protocol level restrictions)
- for any spam that makes it past these blocks, have a backstop defense in place like Trend ScanMail with eManager
We use the built in rules in SMLN eManager to kill hoaxes and chainmail and have made one or two more to deal with 419 spam and the like. We also user Trend's own spam database (like a virus signature database) which is effective against some spam and does not seem to generate collateral damage.
Takes a fair bit of tweaking to set up but is pretty stable afterwards.
We also now record detailed stats on spam blocking and spam / virus trapping. See my blog for August 1 for the latest stats here.
